Bugatti Type 13
Ettore Bugatti found a sponsor for his own production in 1909.
The production of the Bugatti cars started in Molsheim, a few kilometers in the eastern Strasbourg. The first series of Bugatti cars was composed of three models: Type 13, 15 and 17, each with different bores. Type 17 had tougher rear springs.
In 1910, only a few cars were built, but received good reviews at the 1910 Paris motor show and were frequently seen in races.
In 1913, Types 15 and 17 became Types 22 and 23 respectively. The Bugatti cars were comparatively expensive, but a huge success all the same. A few hundred cars were built until 1914.
After the war, Types 13, 22 and 23 were improved and became the glorious Bugatti Brescia.
