Citroen Xantia break
Launched in 1995 and built with the same wheelbase as the sedan (but with a rear slant’s length increased by 7.6’’), the wagon Xantia was, notably, built in Heuliez’s factory just as the BX and the XM had been. A collaboration which was about to end since the wagon C5 was then built in Citroën’s factory, in Rennes la Janais. Only available with five seats and despite its elegant lines, the wagon Xantia would never succeed in competition with with similar cars, notably the 406. The range of engines was similar to that of the sedan, apart from a few subtle differences, but the Activa system was never used on the car.
