The Triumph Herald is one of the longest production histories of Triumph cars. It's also the most produced model: all together about half a million "Heralds" have left the Triumph factories. It's often mistaken for the Vitesse, the 6-cylinder "brother"car. They can be recognised by the headlights: the Herald has single lights, the Vitesse double. Both cars are built one the same chassis, and belong to the so called "sports six" group. The Triumph Herald was produced in a series of models during the years 1959 - 1971.
