Z 102 coupe (1951)

Enasa, the Spanish state truck company, took over the old Hispano-Suiza factory at Barcelona, to produce Pegaso commercials; in 1951 they also began limited production of a Ricart-designed V-8 luxury sports car of 2474cc, introduced at the 1951 Paris Salon, and claimed to be the fastest car in the world. The Z-102 Pegaso could achieve 250 kph ( 156 mph), and at Jabbeke in Belgium, set up flying kilometre and mile records of 243·079 and 244·602 kph respectively, in September 1953.
