Later, Vector began work on their latest car, the Avtech WX-3, along with a racing version, the Avtech WX-3R. 2 WX-3s were built, a coupe and a roadster. When the WX-3 debuted in 1993, MegaTech, an Indonesian company, acquired Vector, offering Wiegert a retirement plan and a position as designer. He refused and was fired from his own company.
