En avril 1973, la 132 complète le programme de Seat. Trois versions sont proposées : 1600, 1600 Lujo et 1800 Lujo. En plus, Seat propose une version équipée d’un moteur diesel Mercedes-Benz.
Le modèle 1975 reçoit quelques modifications esthétiques : vitres latérales et lunette arrière plus grandes, feux arrière carrés. En 1978, Seat présente la troisième série de la 132. Elle est proposée avec un moteur 2 litres essence ou 2,2 litres diesel (toujours d’origine Mercedes-Benz). Comme sa cousine italienne, la 132 dispose de pare-chocs noirs renforcés et de protections latérales.
