   La marque Cadillac a été choisie en l'honneur du Sieur Antoine de La Motte Cadillac, le fondateur de la ville de Détroit (Michigan), berceau de l'automobile américaine
   La vitesse maximum était de 48km/h pour $750 ce qui était un prix modeste pour l'époque. Il fallait ajouter $100 pour le tonneau arrière permettant de transporter quatre personnes

Henry M. Leland, an authority on precision technology, established the Cadillac Company in 1902. The first automobile to be completed there was this Model A. Henry Ford was in charge of design where he was with the Detroit Automobile Co.
The Model A was powered by a single-cylinder horizontal engine, mounted underneath the body, behind the seat. A two-speed planetary gearbox on the right side of the engine transmitted power to the rear wheels by chain. To shift this gearbox, there was a lever to the right of the seat. The steering gear was rack-and-pinion.
