Dessinée par Williams Towns, la Bulldog fut finalement construite pour un unique banc d’essai.
   A l’origine, sa production devait être limitée à environ 25. Le nom de code du projet était DP K9, d’après le personnage d’un certain « Dr. Who ». Elle ne dépasse pas 110 cm de hauteur, ce qui est incroyablement bas. L’intérieur offre une instrumentation digitale et la vue arrière s’affiche sur un moniteur télévisé monté au centre de la console (un ajout tardif). Les turbos Dual Garrett AiResearch augmentèrent la puissance frein à plus de 700 ch. Le premier test de conduite de la Bulldog survint à l’automne 1979 et fut un grand succès. Le véhicule fut officiellement lancé le 27 mars 1980 au Bell Hotel à Aston Clinton. Après la fin du programme de développement, la Bulldog devait être vendue au plus offrant. Le coût total du design et de la construction de la Bulldog fut estimé à environ 130 000 livres. Le véhicule passa quelques temps aux Etats-Unis mais refit récemment son apparition en Grande Bretagne, repeinte en vert, en tant qu’objet de vente. La couleur d’origine de l’intérieur était également le marron foncé et le noir.

   Styled by William Towns the Bulldog was ultimately built as a one-off testbed. Originally it had been intended to be a limited run of about 25. The code name for the project was DP K9, named after a "Dr.Who" character. It is an incredibly low 43 inches high. The interior uses digital instrumentation and the rear view is delivered via television monitor mounted on the centre console (a later addition). Dual Garrett AiResearch turbos lifted power to over 700bhp. The first test drive of the Bulldog came in the fall of 1979 and was a great success. The car was officially launched on March 27, 1980 at the Bell Hotel at Aston Clinton. After the development program was over the Bulldog was to be sold to the highest bidder. The total design and constructions cost of the Bulldog was estimated to be about £130,000. The Bulldog spent some time in the United States but recently surfaced in Britain, for sale and with a new green paint job. The original colour of the interior was also dark brown and black.
