   La GPR de 1923 n'était pas encore sortie lorsque Ugo Sivocci se tua avec ce véhicule. Roméo avait l'intention de rivaliser avec succès dans les grands prix et se mit à chercher un dessinateur qui pourrait dessiner une voiture victorieuse.
   Au sommet de ses efforts, Merosi fut écarté pour ne pas avoir réalisé une bonne voiture de course.

   The 1923 GRP was not launched yet when Ugo Sivocci killed himself while driving it. Alfa Romeo intended to participate and win in Grand Prix races. Therefore the firm started to look for a designer who could sketch a winning car. In spite of Merosi’s best efforts, he was set aside for not creating a good race car.
