   La croissance industrielle d'Alfa Roméo commença en 1922-23 quand Merosi présenta sa pièce maîtresse, un 6 cylindres de 3 litres avec soupapes au-dessus, la RL.
   Rapide et très fiable, 2640 exemplaires de ce véhicule furent produits à Portello jusque 1926, y compris la RLN modèle Touring et le pur-sang RLSS Super Sport qui apporta à la jeune firme milanaise l'attention du monde automobile.
   Un modèle ouvert pesait 1600 kg et pouvait atteindre une vitesse de 130 km/h.

   The industrial growth of Alfa Romeo began in 1922-23 when Merosi unveiled his centerpiece: the RL, a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder with valves on the top.
   Fast and very reliable, 2,640 copies of the vehicle were made in Portello until 1926, including the RLN Touring model and the powerful RLSS Super Sport which caused the young Milanese firm to catch the attention of the motor industry.
   An open model weighted around 3,525 lbs and could reach an approximate speed of 80 mph.
